Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) is a highly versatile closed-cell bead foam that provided a unique range of properties, including outstanding energy absorption, multiple impact resistance, thermal insulation, buoyancy, water and chemical resistance, exceptionally high strength to weight ratio and 100% recyclability.
EPP is used widely in the aero modelling hobby due to its superior strength and its resistance to aero fuels.
Our sheets of EPP are 1000mm x 700mm x 50mm and 20kg per m3 and can be delivered using Australia Post or Fast Couriers.
EPP is an ideal material for hobbyist applications, for example radio controlled aircraft. Due to its water resistance and buoyancy, EPP is often used in marine applications. It has a wide temperature tolerance, and high resistance to common chemicals, such as petrol and acetone. Like EPS, the uses for EPP are almost limitless.
EPP is a closed cell foam, which is flexible and light weight. An environmentally friendly product, it can be recycled easily, and is non-toxic.
EPP is approved for use in conjunction with food products. Its thermal insulation properties and structural strength makes it appropriate for containers such as food delivery containers and beverage coolers and the like. EPP does not support microbial growth and can be made sterile with steam cleaning.
